ULTIMATE GUIDE TO CLEAN YOUR SHOWER SCREEN
Remember the joy you had when your shower screen was installed the first time? It gave your bathroom an instant elegant and spacious look. But as time passes, that sparkling glass turns to having irritating hazy grey streaks or, in serious situations, you can’t see beyond them anymore. There’s no need to worry because there are effective ways to maintain your shower screen.
Glass shower screens are becoming more common and a more affordable alternative for homes in Australia. Unlike a conventional shower curtain, shower screens provide a minimalist design and are more convenient along with being a safe durable option for your bathroom.
But hard water and soap residue gradually build up on glass shower screens and if not cleaned it may permanently damage the glass shower screen. If it feels like you can’t absolutely clean your shower screen no matter what you do, then it’s about time to learn some time saving effective ways.
There are a variety of ways to cover up a filthy shower panel. Some require the use of goods that you purchase in the store, but the best approaches include things that you might already have at hand.

How to clean your shower screen effectively:
For Glass Cleaning
Step 1:
Start by making your 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.
Pour it into an all-purpose plastic spray bottle.
Step 2:
Spray on your glass and leave for several minutes, this will help
dissolve any mineral deposits that may have built up on the
glass surface then wipe down with a damp microfiber cloth. Just
be sure that your cloth is completely clean and free of abrasive
particles or soap residue.
Step 3:
Rinse your cleaning cloth regularly to remove accumulated
residues and any abrasive particles it may have picked up.
Step 4:
For best results rinse the shower screen with plain water when
you’re finished and dry using a rubber squeegee or soft dry
Cloth.
Step 5:
We recommend using a squeegee to wipe down your shower
after every use to help reduce the build up of soap scum and
mineral deposits.
For Aluminium Cleaning:
Step 1:
Wipe away as much grime as you can with a cloth, then spray
the tracks with a mix of vinegar & water.
Step 2:
Let the vinegar & water solution sit for 3-5 minutes.
Step 3:
Wipe down tracks and aluminium with a soft microfibre cloth.
Step 4:
For hard to reach areas place a thin sturdy cloth over a flat head
instrument (or chopstick) and scrub along into the hard to reach
Areas.
Step 5:
Then run a cotton ball tip or soft microfibre cloth along the
length of the tracks, wiping and rinsing until all gunk is gone.
Step 6:
Once you have removed all grime from the aluminium either
wipe or spray down with water to ensure that all parts of the
vinegar solution has been removed from the aluminium surfaces.
For Silicone Cleaning:
Step 1:
Every few months spray the silicone caulking with the same
white vinegar and water solution that you use on your shower screen.
Step 2:
Spray down the caulking and scrub with a soft brush. Any mold
that is getting started will be killed because of the vinegar
Solution.
Step 3:
For deeper stains, leave the vinegar on the caulking for at least
10 minutes before scrubbing with a soft brush.
For Hinges Cleaning:
Step 1:
Wipe away as much grime as you can with a cloth, then spray
the hinges with a mix of vinegar & water.
Step 2:
Let the vinegar & water solution sit for 3-5 minutes.
Step 3:
Wipe down hinges with a soft microfibre cloth.
Step 4:
Then wipe down with a soft microfibre cloth and continue wiping
and rinsing until all gunk is gone.
Step 5:
Once you have removed all grime from the hinges either wipe or
spray down with water to ensure that all parts of the vinegar
solution has been removed from the hinges surfaces
Why do we recommend using these household products?

Vinegar
Acids disintegrate the build-up without scratching the glass and quickly wipe it clean. The consistency of the buildup makes a huge difference in how easy it is to dissolve, and using a solid abrasive will help at least eliminate some of the build-up before re-approaching it with an acid like vinegar.
Spray the remedy on the front and back of the doors of the bathroom. Allow the paste to last for at least five minutes, or for up to 30 minutes, when the soap is strong.
Vinegar is able to burn through the most resistant mud to grime to avoid further build-up.
Squeegee’s
Mineral residue on your shower screen can be absolutely stopped if you don’t allow the water or the soap debris a chance to settle on the mirror in the first place.
A shower squeegee is one of the lowest-maintenance washing devices you’ll ever come across.
For example, it’s super easy to store: most models come with a shower door or wall suction holder, so they’re right there when you need them. This absorbs some of the water left on the bathroom doors and walls, and it even absorbs everything you’ve left behind that will one day become soap residue.
Microfibre cloth
Microfiber cleaning cloths are an ideal alternative for the washing of glasses. Such cloths dry the lenses very quickly and trap oils to prevent frosting. Yet because they collect contaminants so easily, make sure you clean clothes regularly.
